Happy Halloween from Germany!

Germany doesn’t have its own Halloween tradition, but the holiday is beginning to catch on here. We went to a party last night hosted by an American and her German boyfriend. Can you guess what Aaron and I dressed up as? I will email a funny German joke to anyone who can figure it out. You have to get both right. You have a handicap though, because these are post-party pictures. Imagine us much perkier, many hours earlier, and before several pieces of tin foil had fallen off Aaron’s face and clothing. We suffered many hours of angst figuring out what to dress up as for Halloween, just like when we were small. But they paid off, and we had a blast at the party. I set a personal best (?) for partying, staying out till 4 a.m. We know we live in a great city because even at that ungodly hour, the U-Bahn was still running.

  1. I would guess Pippi Longstocking and a babe magnet… assuming you were hanging all over him.

  2. I can’t figure it out but I made you some really good costumes, right. Love you

    • Yeah, we definitely weren’t going to be crayons or scarecrows or Cleopatra. But I think I am going to take a sewing class here, so maybe next year we can do something more elaborate.
